| SCU Torreense host UD Leiria at the Estadio Manuel Marques in Torres Vedras on Monday for Matchday 10 of the Liga Portugal 2 season. Both teams enter this fixture seeking consistency in the second tier of Portuguese football, with 4 points currently separating the two sides in the standings. Sitting in 13th place with 10 points through 9 games, Torreense have experienced a mixed domestic campaign. Despite home advantage, defensive consistency has been an area of concern as they aim to pull away from the lower half of the table. The guests are currently in 9th place with 14 points, Leiria are coming off a hard 2-1 victory against AVS Futebol SAD on the previous round. UD Leiria have proven dangerous on the road this season and this includes a good 4-2 victory over Leixoes. Torreense earned a convincing 3-1 victory over UD Leiria in their last head-to-head meeting at the Estadio Manuel Marques. Leiria tend to be clinical in open spaces during away matches, while Torreense will look to control possession and taking the three points will be crucial for the team to escape the lower part of the table. |
